	Title: सद् हृदय Author: रचयिता- परम पावन चौदहवें दलाई लामा Translated By: अनुवादकर्ता- प्रो0 परमानन्द शर्मा Description: इक्किसवीं शताब्दी में प्रवेश करते समय हमारे लिये धार्मिक परम्परायें आज भी उतनी ही सार्थक हैं जितनी कभी पहले थीं । तिस पर भी, अतीत की तरह आज भी भिन्न-भिन्न धार्मिक परम्पराओं के बीच टकराव एवं समस्यायें पैदा होती रहती हैं । यह बहुत ही दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण है । इस स्थिति पर काबू पाने के लिये हमें भरसक प्रयास करना चाहिये । मेरे अनुभव के अनुसार, इन झगड़ों पर काबू पाने की सबसे प्रभाविक विधि है भिन्न-भिन्न धर्मों के बीच निकट सम्पर्क, ऐसे सम्पर्क की प्रक्रिया मात्र बौद्धिक स्तर पर नहीं बल्कि गहन आध्यात्मिक अनुभवों के आधार पर भी महत्त्वपूर्ण है, आपसी सूझ-बूझ तथा समादर का भाव पैदा करने हेतु यह एक सशक्त विधि है । इस प्रकार के आदान-प्रदान द्वारा समुचित समरसता की दृढ़ नींव स्थापित की जा सकती है । मेरी धारणा है कि विभिन्न धार्मिक परम्पराओं में समरसता महत्त्वपूर्ण एवं परमावश्यक है । मेरा सुझाव है कि अलग-अलग धार्मिक पृष्ठभूमि वाले बुद्धिजीवियों के बीच सम्मेलनों को प्रोत्साहन दिया जाना चाहिये ताकि वे अपनी-अपनी परम्पराओं की समानताओं तथा असमानताओं को पहचान सकें । और भिन्न-भिन्न परम्पराओं के वे लोग जिन्हें कुछ गहन आध्यात्मिक अनुभव प्राप्त हुये हों आपस में मिलें । यह ज़रूरी नहीं कि वे प्रकाण्ड विद्वान् हों, हाँ, वे विशुद्ध चर्यावान् ज़रूर हों जो परस्पर एक साथ बैठें तथा धर्म चर्या जनित अपनी उपलब्धियों को साँझा करें । मेरे स्वयं के अनुभव के अनुसार सीधे तथा सार्थक रूप में एक दूसरे के प्रबोधन हेतु यह एक सशक्त तथा प्रभावी तरीक़ा है । Cost: Rs: 95/-

This text is arranged in a neat structural outline and in particular, as the subject is the Four Seals, uses scriptural quotations and logic when explaining them. The first seal, that All Composite Products are Impermanent, refers to anything that is composed as impermanent. Understanding this seal will help us accept loss, ageing and death, which are all part of life, a composite product. The second seal, All that is Contaminated is Suffering, refers to the nature of actions, emotions and thoughts contaminated by selfish attachment, aversion and ignorance, due to stained or contaminated actions, emotions and thoughts we become attracted to, or repulsed by. The third seal, Aggregates are Devoid of a ‘Self’, is related to the teaching that speaks of everything as lacking inherent or intrinsic existence. Both person and phenomena should be judged objectively as they are, without mental projections, rather than holding on to the opinions of’I have no self’ or ‘I have self’. The fourth seal, Passing Beyond Suffering is Peace, addresses our capability of liberating ourselves completely from suffering and its causes, because without this we will never attempt to achieve the state of passing beyond suffering, which is peace. Buddha’s teachings have spread far and wide, and have developed into diverse schools and sects. Most of these schools and sects engage in the practice of going for refuge in the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha, the gateway of entering the Buddha’s teachings.
